Get ready for some fun — it’s Tattoo the Teacher Week! Students can buy temporary tattoos at lunch Monday through Wednesday, with prices based on size. On Thursday, participating teachers will proudly wear the tattoos purchased for them, so choose wisely and make it count!
On Saturday, the Central Lake/Ellsworth Powerlifting team attended their 2nd Regional Qualifier Meet for the season at Manistee High School.
Congratulations to Talon Mongomery for his impressive lifting of 360lbs on squat!
Garrett Keast lifted 140lbs on squat, 85lbs on bench, and 235 lbs on deadlift for a total weight of 460lbs! His performance earned him 1st place in his weight class and Garrett will be competing at the MHSPLA State JV Powerlifting meet later this month!
Also on Saturday, Ellsworth High School Band students participated in MSBOA's Solo & Ensemble Event in Kingsley! Congratulations to:
Mason Seese, Evan Seese, & Zoey Reese (trio)- Superior rating
Lilly Mosley and Marley Dawson (duet)- Superior rating
Maddie Nagy and Ella Sponable (duet)- Excellent rating
Lilly Mosley (solo)- excellent rating
Mr. Martin says there were lots of positive comments about our students-every band student performed well and earned a medal!

Career and Technical Education Millage on the ballot
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, voters in all Char-Em ISD school districts will be asked to consider a proposed Career and Technical Education (CTE) vocational millage. The millage was first approved by voters in 1996, funding career and technical education for the past 30 years.
