Student Council and NHS would like to thank everyone that participated in Operation Birthday! Grades K-12 were able to collect 359 birthday items to donate to local service agencies.

ECS Alumni Jesus Oviedo made a visit home from his deployment with the United States Marines and stopped by school to surprise his nieces and nephews.

First graders had fun conducting their pumpkin STEM activities on Friday. They measured the weight of their pumpkins, counted the seeds, and tested their hypotheses about whether or not pumpkins can float.

Mrs. Stuck joined the English 12 classroom to do a Book Talk on one of her favorite historical fiction reads. Book Talks are a way for students learn what others like to read and helps expand their knowledge of book options and genres. Students can then check out the book or put it on their "Might Like to Read" list.

U.S. History students are studying the events leading up to the American Revolution. Here the students pose with stamps they created on their notebooks to represent The Stamp Act, a way Britain taxed colonists for paper goods.

Today the ECS Agriscience class went to Morgan’s Composting in Sears, Mi home of Dairy Doo 101 seed starting mix. They also bought worms that the kids screened today to start a worm farm at the school.

Congratulations to the ECS Quiz Bowl team on an outstanding showing at today’s Quiz Central matches at CMU. The team won their first match before losing to the defending State champs in the second match.

Last day of eighth grade PE module. Free play day and the kids chose to play volleyball without a net.

Students in Mrs. Speicher's 10th grade U.S. History class completed group research projects on aspects of the Civil War era. Some of the topics included prominent politicians, significant battles, everyday life of northerners and southerners, and the effects of the war. Students dressed up as politicians, created models, displayed primary source documents, and created posters for visuals!
