Thanks to Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Essenberg for chaperoning Mt. McSauba ski lessons this winter. The 2020 sessions concluded on Monday night.

ECS Update: Please note the basketball schedule change for this week. Wednesday's home boys basketball game vs. Alba has been moved to Tuesday. Both boys and girls varsity teams will now play on Tuesday at home. Boys game starting at 5:30 with girls to follow.

Thanks to Mrs. Tornga and Mrs. Whisler for taking the time to decorate the High School cafeteria for the upcoming Homecoming week. It looks great!

Popcorn anyone? ECS Elementary students have been enjoying popcorn from their new popcorn machine as part of the PBIS system. Thanks to Mrs. Swenson and Mrs. Sponable for taking the time to make popcorn for the kids.

Thanks to Mrs. Cole and Mr. Z for taking Agriscience students to the Small Farm Conference in Traverse City this weekend.

Congratulations to ECS students Calista Hoeksema (1st place,) Jurgen Griswold (2nd place,) and Cameron Snyder (alternate) for qualifying for the regional Spelling Bee to be held in Traverse City.

ECS Update: Next week is ECS Homecoming. Attached is the Spirt Week calendar. The homecoming week culminates with an assembly and the game on Friday and the dance on Saturday.

ECS Update: Advance notice. This coming Friday, January 24 is a half-day for all students in grades K-12. School will be dismissed at 11:00 and no lunch will be served.
The Queen of Bling and Sparkle was summoned again for two lucky girls at the elementary! They have been saving their Lancer value tickets to become Princess for a day, and get the royal treatment from the Queen! What fun it is to be a Lancer!

Check out the "elementary trees" that students spent time decorating for winter with snowflakes and mittens. Thanks again to ECS alumni Sydney Sundelius for creating them for us. Students will change the decorations with the seasons.
Last week the ECS Elementary students celebrated the start of the new year with their mid-winter PBIS kickoff. Students and teachers spent time re-learning positive behavior expectations and having some fun outside.
