Congratulations to Ellsworth senior, Private Todd Schultz for just completing 10 weeks of basic training for the Army at Ft. Sill, OK. Throughout the year he will have drills at Camp Grayling and upon HS graduation he will go to AIT at Ft. Leonardwood, MO for construction equipment repair. We are so proud of you TJ, way to go!

ECS Board of Education Update: The Ellsworth Community School Board of Education will hold their annual organizational meeting on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the middle/high school library.

ECS Community Update: Join the Banks Township Fire Department for their annual water slide (postponed from the Pig Roast) this coming Saturday from 4:00-6:00 at the park in Ellsworth.

ECS Update: The 9th annual Lancer Leap Showcase is scheduled for Wed, June 12 in the high school. Doors open at 4:30 for displays and performances begin at 5:30. We hope to see everyone there to celebrate the hard work of our students and staff. https://5il.co/80m2
Today is the annual K-12 school picnic. Thanks to our outstanding kitchen staff (Mrs. Groenink, Mrs. Torenga, Mrs. Whisler, and Mrs. Miller) for the great food!

Congratulations to All-State individual track runners Josh Light and Isaiah Romeyn. Josh placed 4th in the 110m hurdles, and Isaiah 2nd in the 800m run.

Mr. Faivor’s morning Lancer Leap class is working with the Antrim Country Conservation District to develop a rain garden behind the elementary school.

4th and 5th grade students visited the wastewater treatment facility in East Jordan to learn how sewage and wastewater is treated to become drinkable water and how different materials such as wipes and toilet paper dissolve (or not) in the water.
