Sixth graders in Mrs. Goslee's Social Studies class learned to play an Aztec board game called Patolli on Friday as part of a Mesoamerica unit.
The EHS "Giving Tree" is located in the lobby near the gym. Please take an ornament home from the Christmas tree and purchase a much needed baby or toddler item for our local Moms & Tots Center of Ellsworth. Return the unwrapped gift to the Giving Tree by December 19th and the National Honor Society will turn the gifts into the center in time for the Christmas season.

Middle school art students are working on a three-dimensional clay project using three different types of coils to create a water-tight container.
It’s great to have our high school mentors out on the elementary playground every day playing. The younger kids really look up to and enjoy having their big buddies with them.
Students in 7th grade English are making construction paper totem poles to help understand and connect with the events and Native cultures explored in their class novel, Touching Spirit Bear.
8th graders are playing one of their favorite games, math basketball. They are given a group to work with and a problem set and have to work together to solve. After answering questions correctly, they get to shoot for points.

The Tip of the Mitt watershed council is facilitating five science lessons about water with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. They will then complete a stewardship project as a class. Thanks to teachers Mr. Faivor and Mrs. Goslee for arranging the experience.
